Madonna
gives good face!
"Short
but oh so sweet Madonna" read headlines in
London's
Evening Standard,
one of many British newspapers hailing the singer's brief return to the stage.

Fans queued outside overnight Monday to be one of the 200 let in for free to
join the 1,500 ticket winners and celebrities.

The 47-year-old
fell off a horse on her birthday in August, cracking three ribs,
breaking a collar bone and fracturing a hand.
However, there was no sign of the singer taking it easy on stage.
"Madonna gives it her all", The
Independent said.
"She does, you have to admit, look fabulous."
The
Guardian said: "She's a remarkably compelling performer".
Madonna
confesses on AOL, 28 minute interview
and Behind
the scenes of the making of her koko gig here!
"The last time I played
Camden Palace was 22 years ago," she told her fans.
"It was my first show in London and I've got to tell you it's so

of shape right now -- I don't like falling off horses.""Hung

Inside were music industry movers and stars including
the Pet Shop Boys,
New Order, Chris Evans and Will Young, Bob Geldof and Gwen
Paltrow.
But it was the fans who thronged the site of Madonna's first London show
22 years ago, that were proof that even in middle age she still casts a heady
spell.
Madonna was smiley and talkative between songs, exclaiming: "It
is so
f****** good to be back" and revealing: "I feel like I'm really out
of shape
right now - I don't like falling off horses".
Did we really believe she would leave after five numbers? Probably
not.
Off she went to host a £ 75 , 000 party at
Kabaret's Prophecy club,
and no one could say they weren't warned.
This is the promotions business, and Madonna is the ultimate professional.
She had Dutch tulips flown in to decorate her dressing room
and the food
bill alone for the aftershow bash at Nobu restaurant was £20,000.
Add £10,000 for the services of top DJs BODYROCKERS,
who were hired to play from midnight to 8am, plus the hire of the club and
you’ve got a party fit for the Queen . . . Of Pop.
